Resource Library: Available to our ABC CREATE district partners to borrow at no cost

• ABC CREATE district partners can borrow classroom sets of educational technologies and resources to support STEAM integration in classroom settings.
• The lending library hosts a wide range of educational technologies from Finch and Hummingbird robots to Makey Makey and 360 cameras. 
• The library was designed to support STEAM learning for students from K-12 in classrooms across the region to offer educators an opportunity to ”try before they buy” or to supplement existing stock. These tools support cross-district collaborations, teachers training teachers, and have been utilized in numerous ABC CREATE community events. Many of these tools were used in learning pathways, crafted by ABC CREATE classroom educators.

Grab and Go Guides for Lesson Planning for Future Ready Classrooms

Learning Pathways:

Created by teachers for teachers, these grab and go guides are how-to’s for integrating STEAM into classrooms within four vertically articulated strands: Coding and Computer Science, Data Fluency, Creative Design, and Engineering. Over 30 Learning Pathways give educators on-ramps for incorporating CS and STEAM into their existing curricula. This multi-year initiative brought educators together through in-person and virtual writing sessions and resulted in several cross-district and partner contributions. Pathways range from Early Childhood to High School and incorporate a variety of tech tools from our ABC CREATE Resource Library.

• Learning alongside peers, ABC CREATE trainings help educators to explore and experience tech tools, resources, and pedagogical practices to take back to for integration into core curriculum.
  
• In-person and virtual professional development opportunities help ABC CREATE teachers re-imagine their classrooms, revitalize their teaching practice, and reconnect with their peers through a host of professional development experiences.

Summer Professional Development : Multi-day PD for educators

• Each summer, ABC CREATE educators co-design our Teachers’ Summer STEAM Camp. During this multi-day professional development, attending teachers share relevant and engaging STEAM integration ideas, explore hands-on lessons and resources, and connect with their peers. Summer professional development guides teachers to re-imagine their classrooms, revitalize their teaching practice, and reconnect with their peers.
  
• Sessions focus on current challenges, shared experiences, and relevant teaching and learning opportunities for educators.
