Allegheny Valley School District
Located approximately 15 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, PA, the Allegheny Valley School District provides a quality education to approximately 960 students in the municipalities of Cheswick Borough, Harmar Township, Springdale Borough, and Springdale Township. The District emerged in 1965 when these four municipalities agreed to dissolve their previous jointure and begin a new venture. Three buildings - Acmetonia Primary School, Colfax Upper Elementary School, and Springdale Jr-Sr High School - offer programs and activities to students in Kindergarten through grade 12. Eighty-seven professionals comprise the teaching staff. The communities of the District maintain the unique combination of being close to a major urban center while still maintaining a small-town atmosphere. Together these factors make the Allegheny Valley School a great Partnership for Excellence - Youth, School and Community.
Apollo Ridge School District
Apollo-Ridge is a rural school district located in southwestern Pennsylvania approximately 45 miles east of Pittsburgh on a single-campus site in Spring Church. The District extends to the southern border of Armstrong County, the northern border of Westmoreland County and western border of Indiana County. Five municipalities from two counties, Armstrong and Indiana, comprise the District -- Apollo Borough, Jacksonville/Blacklick Township, Kiskiminetas Township, North Apollo Borough and Young Township -- for an approximate 70 square-mile area that is populated by approximately 9,000 residents.
The District encourages parents and other community members to participate in the schools as primary partners for offering the best program possible for all students. To that end, an overarching goal is to build those alliances through well-developed, comprehensive communication that informs and invites the school community to support learning initiatives and to participate in ongoing activities.

Armstrong School District
Armstrong School District is located in southwestern Pennsylvania, in central Armstrong County, with a small portion located in western Indiana County. An additional 306 Armstrong School District students choose to enroll in the full-day comprehensive vocational-technical program at Lenape Technical School during their 11th and 12th grade years. They graduate from there with a Lenape Technical School diploma. Our educational programs and services prepare students for post-secondary education and training.
Burrell School District
The Burrell School District is a small, rural, public school district located in northern Westmoreland County. The District is 18 miles (29 km) northeast of Pittsburgh. The Burrell School District serves the City of Lower Burrell and Upper Burrell Township. The district covers 27 square miles. The district operates Burrell High School (9th-12th), Charles A. Huston Middle School (6th-8th), Stewart School (4th-5th) and Bon Air School (K-3rd). The district is part of the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit which provides special education services to the district.
CMU CREATE Lab
The Community Robotics, Education and Technology Empowerment Lab (CREATE Lab) explores socially meaningful innovation and deployment of robotic technologies. We specifically aim to:
Empower a technologically fluent generation through experiential learning opportunities in and outside of school. We define technology fluency as the confidence to author / creatively configure technology to pursue individual and collective goals.
Empower everyday citizens and scientists with affordable environmental sensing and documentation instruments, and powerful visualization platforms for sense-making and sharing of gathered scientific data - to promote evidence based decision making, public discourse and action.

Deer Lakes School District
The Deer Lakes School District is a small, suburban, K-12 public school district near Pittsburgh which covers East Deer, Frazer, and West Deer townships in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Deer Lakes School District encompasses approximately 41 square miles. According to 2000 federal census data, it serves a resident population of 14,211.
Fox Chapel School District
The Fox Chapel Area School District is a nationally recognized, award-winning school district that produces high achievement in students, with a motivated and professional faculty and an involved and caring administration. The district is located in a dynamic, suburban community about 12 miles northeast of downtown Pittsburgh.
Franklin Regional School District
The Franklin Regional School District serves the communities of Export, Murrysville and portions of Delmont. It is located approximately twenty miles East of Pittsburgh. With over 3,600 students and nearly 400 staff members, the district operates three Elementary schools (Heritage, Newlonsburg, and Sloan), a Middle School, and a Senior High School.
Freeport Area School District
Freeport Area School District has a total enrollment of approximately 2,000 students. Freeport offers a variety of experience classes in the Jr. High such as French, Spanish, and Industrial Technology Education. In addition to the regular curriculum, students in grades seven and eight have opportunities to join various clubs, chorus or band and to participate in interscholastic and intramural programs. The High School offers a progressive secondary program designed to meet the needs of all students. The curriculum is designed with honors, academic, and business/technology to meet the needs of the students. Students in grades 11 and 12 are eligible to attend Lenape Vocational-Technical School. The high school also offers many electives in foreign language, technology/business education, industrial technology, home and consumer science, music, art, and Television production.
Highlands School District
Located in Southwestern PA, Highlands School District comprises the municipalities of Fawn Township, Harrison Township, Brackenridge Borough and Tarentum Borough. The area is approximately twenty-two square miles with a population of about 25,000. It is located in the northeast corner of Allegheny County along the Allegheny River about 18 miles from Pittsburgh. Route 28 provides easy access to the Greater Pittsburgh area.
Kiski Area School District
The Kiski Area School District is a large, suburban public school district located in Westmoreland County Pennsylvania. Encompassing nine municipalities in Armstrong and Westmoreland counties, the district is headquartered in Allegheny Township. There are currently four primary elementary schools (grades K–4), an upper elementary school (grades 5-6), an intermediate school (grades 7–8), and a high school (grades 9–12) within the district.
Leechburg Area School District
The Leechburg Area School District is a small, public school district serving the communities of Leechburg Borough and Gilpin Township in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania and West Leechburg Borough in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. The School District services approximately 800 students from a population of approximately 6,000 residents. It is comprised of 2 schools: one junior/senior high school for grades 7-12, and one elementary school for grades K-6.
New Kensington-Arnold School District
The New Kensington–Arnold School District is a small, suburban, public school district serving the cities of Arnold and New Kensington, located in northern Westmoreland County. The New Kensington–Arnold School District encompasses approximately 5 square miles (13 km2). According to 2000 federal census data, it serves a resident population of 20,400.
Penn State New Kensington
From its roots as Penn State’s "New Kensington Center," Penn State New Kensington has evolved into a modern facility on 72 acres in Upper Burrell Township, Westmoreland County. Penn State New Kensingtion has:

- 10 baccalaureate (4-year) degrees
- 5 associate (2-year) degrees
- Complete the first 2 years of more than 160 Penn State baccalaureate majors here
- 25 students is the average class size
- 72 full and part-time faculty
- 10:1 student/faculty ratio
- Privately-owned housing directly adjacent to campus
- PSUAC and intramural athletic teams, cultural programs, clubs and social activities
- Customized training programs for businesses or schools
Plum Borough School District
Plum Borough is located in southwestern Pennsylvania approximately 13 miles east of the city of Pittsburgh. It is the second largest borough in the state and the largest in Allegheny County. Plum Borough covers an area of twenty-nine square miles with a population of approximately 28,000 persons according to the 2010 census. Most of the community is a suburban residential area with some light industry.
Riverview School District
The Riverview School District is a small, suburban public school district serving the Pittsburgh suburbs of Oakmont, Pennsylvania and Verona, Pennsylvania. Riverview School District encompasses approximately 1.5 square miles and services approximately 1,050 students. It is comprised of 3 schools: one middle school/high school for grades 7-12, and two elementary schools for grades K-6.
South Butler County School District
The South Butler County School District is a comprehensive K-12 educational setting located in the southeastern corner of Butler County in Western Pennsylvania. The District serves students in Clinton, Jefferson, Penn, and Winfield Townships, along with Saxonburg Borough. The District was formed in 1953 uniting the municipalities of Clinton, Jefferson, Penn and Winfield Townships, and Saxonburg Borough.
Westmoreland County Community College
Westmoreland County Community College is located in rural Youngwood, PA a short distance from the New Stanton Interchange of the Pennsylvania Turnpike off Route 119. The 80-acre campus comprises four buildings: Founders Hall, Commissioners Hall, Science Hall and the Business and Industry Center. Founders Hall also contains the college bookstore, library, student activities center, gymnasium and more.
