An Outreach Coordinator for Penn State New Kensington, Colleen Smith is currently focused on several STEM projects: ABC CREATE, 15 school districts invigorating their educational systems through technology fluency, social empowerment, and collaboration; Penn State Homework Hotline, college students staffing a call center and guiding middle and high school students to a solid understanding of their math homework; and the GREAT Program, a selective career development program grooming Penn State New Kensington STEM students for early entry into internship and research opportunities. Colleen values equity and awareness of opportunity for girls and boys and is a committed member of many STEM communities.
