ABC CREATE 2nd Annual school2school STEAM Showcase 2025!

The idea of a traveling STEAM Showcase was first launched in 2024 as a creative response to the challenges of substitute teacher shortages. It provided an opportunity for ABC CREATE educators to both showcase and observe best practices in STEAM-based teaching and learning. Based on the positive feedback from last year’s participants—like, "There was truly something special about seeing the lessons live in action, with students and materials, on the premises in the different spaces of different classrooms and districts."—we are thrilled to host a second traveling showcase this year.

This year’s school2school STEAM Showcase will take place during the weeks of April 7-10 and May 5-8; it will involve K-8 educators from ABC CREATE partner districts visiting one another’s classrooms to observe STEAM-integrated lessons in action with students. We’re especially looking forward to seeing inquiry-based and discovery learning activities—perhaps even STEELS-aligned lessons!

If you're interested in hosting a lesson(s), please keep in mind the following:
  • You’ll need to indicate available days within the specified dates when you can host visiting educators.
  • Consider offering more than one lesson to provide additional observation opportunities.
  • You’ll need to contact your building principal and/or district superintendent for approval to host.

If you have a STEAM-integrated lesson you’re proud to share and would like to host a session (or two!) during the showcase, please complete an interest form by Monday, March 10th.
